Bentec Open anno 2007

After almost a three-year long break, due to the two great storms ’Gudrun’ and ’Per’, Bentec Open was carried out for the 7th time a beautiful autumn day the 23rd of September. The race appeals both customers and collogues to Bentec and FlexoArt as well as friends from around and is always a cheerful event in the woods a stone throw away from Bentec’s work shop.

Many great achievements were seen not only on the track but also in front of the barbecue, which was perfectly mastered by Bentec’s Peter Schirmer.

After four straight victories Alexander at FlexoArt had to find himself defeated by Emil Eriksson (CK Lunedi) who pulled of a great time despite the hard conditions on the track.

For the first time in the race’s history there was a Norwegian contender, Christian Merlid (ProBoke/Karling), and if that was not enough the motor journalist and photographer from Stockholm, Stefan Boman, dared to show up, impressing! Both did a very good performance and so did the race’s youngest contenders, Victor and Oskar Hillman.

Jan Stenqvist, Senior Adviser at FlexoArt, showed up with a portable sailboat bike, which he used on the track while taking the dog Trinda for a ride. We expected no new personal best from Jan since he was carrying a camera around his neck during the race, which obviously has something for everyone.

Benetc and FlexoArt’s controller Christina managed to place herself in front of many mail contenders and Leif Bengtsson, Bentec’s manager won the class 55+ only seconds before Carl Eriksson (TetraPak).

Bentec thanks all contenders and functionaries a great time and hope to see everyone again next year!
